Out of 11,352 launches this month, 10,276 never even hit 10 upvotes. That’s 90.5% of builders who showed up, did the work, and were basically invisible.

On the other side of that spectrum, only 472 products crossed 50 upvotes. That’s 4.2%. The “oh I saw that on my feed” tier. The ones people actually noticed, argued about, bookmarked, maybe even paid for.

Slack apps, data viz tools, little Mac and menu bar utilities quietly dominated the averages. In those niches, you’d routinely see 40–60 upvotes while generic “AI productivity” stuff drowned in an ocean of 3s and 5s.

This newsletter is my attempt to make sense of that gap

If you’re building this year, I don’t want you to just ship. I want you to get seen. Let’ dive into today’s idea:

Today’s startup worth copying

Let’s look at what Linkhub actually does.

It’s an outreach tool. Not “post more” but “comment smarter” (like the intro ahah). The pitch is simple:

Same idea on Reddit with tools like Redreach.

Instead of spamming DMs, you watch comments under competitors, or track keywords your ideal clients use then jump into the right threads with something useful.

From there, the playbook is boring on purpose:

  • Join the conversation.

  • Add real value.

  • Mention your product only when it actually helps.

Why this model is smart

Their main marketing channel is their own product.

No audience to build.
No content to make.
They just run their own play on themselves and let clients come in.

The message is: “I see you trying to get clients by replying everywhere. Here’s how to do it deliberately, every day.”

How to copy this play

You don’t need to reinvent anything. Just copy the structure.

  1. Pick a platform with a strong community: X, Reddit, LinkedIn: great for social writing assistants.

  2. Decide how you’ll show up to get clients: comments, DMs, long-form posts, audits, teardown replies.

Make it original. This becomes your uniqueness.

Then use AI to do the heavy lifting. Ask an AI (Perplexity, my personal take) to write a PRD for your exact niche, copying a deisng you like but for your platform.

Then strip the PRD down to a V1 you can ship in a day and wire it up with your favorite stack and CLI.

See you Thursday. Jeremy
